About Us
Our faculty was established as a vocational school affiliated with Iğdır University by the decision made at the Higher Education Council Meeting on February 20, 2014, and gained the status of a Faculty of Applied Sciences with the Presidential Decree No. 5252 on March 3, 2022.
Our faculty aims to provide contemporary and applied education to its students with its qualified academic staff, strong physical infrastructure, and extensive practical opportunities while carrying out educational, teaching, and scientific activities effectively.
In our faculty, the following departments were opened:
- Organic Farming Management on April 4, 2016,
- Social Work, Land Registry and Cadastre, Customs Management, Public Relations, and Advertising on November 2, 2018,
- Emergency Aid and Disaster Management on January 28, 2020.
Our faculty began admitting students at the undergraduate level in the 2017-2018 academic year with the Department of Organic Farming Management and currently continues its educational activities in six different departments.
Embracing a modern educational approach, our faculty is committed to becoming a leader in the field of applied sciences, promoting academic excellence, and increasing social benefit. Our educational and teaching activities aim to enhance both the individual competencies of our students and their capacity to contribute to society through the development of physical infrastructure, scientific research, and effective collaborations with the business world.
Our faculty continues its efforts rapidly to contribute to the development of our country by training equipped graduates in various fields such as sustainable agriculture, social services, disaster management, land registry and cadastre, customs management, and communication.
